In King Arthur's Acres, there will be multiple attractions to gain interest and allow people to be
entertained and chase the thrill that they all came to the park to catch. Starting off the list of rides and
attractions that our land is composed of is the live event area. This area would mostly be the center of
the land, composing of shops such as blacksmith station, petting zoo with time period farm animals,
photo stations where people of all ages can try on time period outfits and suits of armor to capture the
feeling of going back in time. Going off of the center marketplace type area will be the Tavern. This will
be the dining banquet where everyone can eat (and drink if old enough) like kings and queens. This, like
the other mentioned components to the age of medieval land, will mostly consist of time period food
and drinks, but also allows for popular foods as well to meet everyone’s desires. When it comes to the
main attraction, everyone seems to flock to big roller coasters. Going off of the pitch document, where
we talked about how this land is for people to go back in time where bravery and strength was
important and how some of the aspects will be decision based. The idea for a roller coaster we came up
with was to have it based around the idea of jousting. There will be two lines, one for the red knight and
one for the black knight. The coaster will go up into two loops and ultimately coming down towards
each other to mimic two knights charging at one another during jousting competitions. The idea is to
give the riders the feeling that each time they’re close to colliding the faster the coaster gets then it
ends. Another ride we came up with was a lot like the dark ride for Frozen or Pirates of the Caribbean
where it’s a log flume, boat ride that goes through a series of areas where the riders are on a dragon and
going through a mountain/cave scene where they are knights. The ride will take people through as
storyline and show based off of the idea of knights contouring dragons and saving the princess all while
using 4-D and virtual reality systems to add maximum details and effects to make it as realistic and enjoyable as possible.
